The NAIA for the Champions of Character Foundation Awards Luncheon celebrating the character values of those who make a difference in the culture of sport and in our community. We will honor five awardees; high school student-athlete of the year, college student-athlete of the year, citizen of character, company of character and coach of character. 

2015 Keynote Speaker


Dayton Moore
Dayton Moore is in his 9th full season with the Kansas City Royals, as Senior Vice President-Baseball Operations/General Manager. Moore, a native of Wichita, Kan., has presided over one of the most successful runs in the Royals’ franchise history.

The Royals have boasted nine Rawlings Gold Glove Awards, 13 All-Star Game selections and a Cy Young Award winner in his first nine seasons. Following an outstanding 2014 postseason, the Royals were named Baseball America’s ‘Organization of the Year’ for the just the second time since the publication started the award in 1982.

A leader in the Kansas City community, Moore is a regular speaker at numerous community events each year. In addition, Moore has been a member of the NAIA’s Champions of Character Board of Directors from 2007-10 and has been an articulate advocate and spokesman for the program and its impact on the culture of sport.
