Rob Haworth, Vice President for Champions of Character, was a featured speaker at the 2009 Missouri State High School Activities Association Sportsmanship Summit, held at the Sheraton Sports Complex in Kansas City, Mo. Haworth presented the topic mental toughness and what it means to play from the inside out to over 100 high school students, coaches and administrators During the Champions of Character segment attendees participated in a series of exercises that helped them identify expectations for the upcoming season and how to put mental toughness into action.
Rob Haworth, Vice President for Champions of Character, attended a season kick-off event for coaches in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. Haworth spent the day with over 60 coaches and talked about ways to intentionally teach character through sport. The NAIA continues to partner with the KCMO School District on a variety of events.

Champions of Character presenter Richard Bechard delivered the parent presentation to over 100 parents of children that participate in leagues sponsored by Olathe Parks and Recreation.
08.18.09 – 08.19.09 | Pembroke Hill High School
During day one of a two-day series Rob Haworth, Vice President for Champions of Character, met with fall sport team leaders at Pembroke Hill High School in Kansas City, Mo. Haworth helped the students develop goals and measure marks for the upcoming fall sports season. On day two, Haworth met with over 100 student-athletes with focused conversation on metal toughness and the program’s five core values. Pembroke student-athletes, coaches and school administrators have used the Champions of Character curriculum for over three years.
08.23.09 | California Pacific Conference Coaches Meeting
Rob Haworth, Vice President for Champions of Character, presented training to 250 coaches in the California Pacific Conference. The event was held at Mills College in Oakland, California.
