Speakers & Presentations
As part of its outreach mission with the Champions of Character program, the NAIA conducts training and motivational presentations to schools, youth organizations, coaches' groups and business and community groups.
NAIA presenters teach participants about the importance of ethical behavior and character development not just in sport, but in every aspect of life. Trained instructors at Program Centers throughout the U.S. and Canada also share how the five core values of Champions of Character lead to winning in the game of life.

Dr. Rob Haworth, Vice President of Champions of Character, joined the NAIA in July 2008 after a career in public education which spanned 20 years. During that time Rob served as school superintendent, assistant superintendent, athletic director and teacher. Rob's duties also included many years as a high school and middle school coach in a variety of sports. Rob is a graduate of Greenville College where he was a member of the cross county and track teams. He received his Master's in Education from Indiana University Southeast and his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University. Dr. Haworth's dissertation examined the impact of athletic participation on moral and social character development. Rob and his wife, Amy reside in Liberty, MO with their two children Olivia and Eric.
