Covenant College (Ga.) Lady Scots soccer bound for Costa Rica
Submitted by Mark Duble, head women's soccer coach, Covenant College
The Covenant College Lady Scots soccer team traveled to Costa Rica on Sunday for a mission trip with Score International. This will be the third such trip in the last six years that the Lady Scots have taken. Along with soccer matches against a variety of teams, the Lady Scots have a great desire to work with the children from the area they will be working in. It is a great opportunity for them to show the Love of Christ in action as well as word.
Being able to show sportsmanship on the field and focused work for others off the field to those who have so little speaks volumes about the message that we want to share while we are there. That is, showing love and care for those around us who are much less fortunate then we are. Throughout the trip the Covenant women’s soccer team will post blogs from Costa Rica. Each day one of the Lady Scots will write a journal entry to be posted on the web. Click here for more information.
