Rob joined the NAIA in July 2008 after a 20-year career in public education. He served as a school superintendent, athletic director and teacher. For many years he was a high school and middle school coach in a variety of sports. A graduate of Greenville College, he was a member of the cross county and track teams. He received his Master's in Education from Indiana University Southeast and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University. Rob's dissertation examined the impact of athletic participation on moral and social character development.

As the NAIA’s Champions of Character Program Coordinator, Kathy Busch coordinates all activities, local programming, materials and evaluations. Prior to joining the NAIA in 2005, Kathy was a physical education teacher at various levels of secondary education in Kansas. In addition to teaching, Kathy was a youth softball coach for 10 years. Kathy obtained both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Education from the University of Kansas. Contact Kathy to schedule a Champions of Character presentation at your organization.
